Alpha and Omega - The Sacral Chakra

Yay! I finally finished my next painting in my Chakra Series. My latest painting focuses on the Sacral Chakra.

I worked on this painting off and on during the past few months.

This is the painting in its beginning stages after about at least 10 layers of paint. You can see the beginnings of the movement and flow that I'm trying to achieve.

It was a task because I used so many layers of paint.

A lot of yellow was layered on as a base color for my orange paint that I later added.

Starting to add various orange colors that will become the dominant color in my painting.

So many variations of orange and several layers later. The final step after this is to start outlining in black which always takes the longest time to complete.

It was a very tedious process and that is not including all of the line work, but the end result was totally worth it.

The final result is colorful, bold, and vibrant!
